- Health Care Jay Nixon believes that every Missourian should have access to quality health care. Unfortunately, because of Governor Matt Blunt's massive health care cuts in 2005, nearly 700,000 Missourians, including 121,000 children, do not have health insurance. As Governor, Jay will make it a priority to fix our broken health care system so Missourians can live longer, healthier lives and so that our state can lead the nation in medical research.
- Education Jay Nixon believes that a quality education is the key to achieving the American Dream. We need to strengthen our education system from top to bottom so that every child, no matter where in Missouri that child lives or what that child's parents do for a living, has an opportunity to succeed.
- Jobs & Economy Jay Nixon believes that every Missourian who works hard and plays by the rules should be able to provide for their families and achieve their dreams. As Governor, Jay will invest in new technologies, bring members of Missouri's business communities together, and find creative ways to protect the jobs of today, while creating the jobs of tomorrow.
